Crunchy Air Fryer A nutritious, high-fiber snack or topping for salads are chickpeas! Very simple and quick to prepare in the air fryer.
After draining, place the chickpeas on a paper towel-lined dish.
2. Allow them to air dry fully.
3. Place the chickpeas in a single layer into the air fryer basket. Air fry at 380°F for 12 to 15 minutes, shaking the basket every five minutes, or until the chickpeas are golden brown on the exterior and crunchy on the inside.
While still warm, transfer the chickpeas to a medium-sized bowl, drizzle with extra virgin olive oil, and combine with the spices right away. Enjoy as a snack at room temperature or with your preferred salad.
Dry chickpeas are the best option for crunchy chickpeas since they will not get crisp or, if they do, they will not stay crisp. Before cooking, thoroughly dry them on paper towels and, if possible, put them outside for an hour or two to dry.
Chickpeas can be kept for up to a week at room temperature in a jar. Remaining chickpeas can be crisped up by popping them back into the air fryer for two to three minutes if they go mushy.
