AIR FRYER EGG TOAST

A quick and simple method to have a wholesome lunch is to make egg toast in an air fryer. Air fryers are healthier than traditional frying methods since they cook food without using oil.

For those mornings when you’re pressed for time but yet want something filling and substantial, the air fryer egg in a toast is ideal. It also only needs a few basic items, like an egg and a slice of bread, which you probably already have on hand.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
    • 2 egg
    • 2 teaspoon butter
    • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Seasoning of choice.

Instructions

  1. Set the temperature of your air fryer to 350°F (170°C). As it heats up, start making your bread.
  2. Press the bottom of a glass or cup lightly into the middle of the bread to form a pocket. Take care not to push the egg into the bread completely, since this could cause it to drip through the air fryer.
  3. Spread the bread with butter on both sides.
  4. Place a single egg inside every bread pocket
  5. Add as much salt and pepper as desired, along with other seasonings. Italian seasoning was what I used.
  6. Place the bread slice, carefully, straight onto the basket or tray of the air fryer. Depending on how you want your yolks done, close the air fryer basket and cook for five to seven minutes.

Notes

Egg Cooking Times:

I prefer my egg yolks to be runny, therefore boiling my egg for five to six minutes was ideal for a runny egg on toast.
Cook for 2 minutes more if you like your egg yolks firmer.
Remember that the size and model of your air fryer may affect these cooking times. I’m using a Cuisinart Air Fryer Oven as my model.
You can consistently cook eggs in your air fryer to perfection with a little practice.
