EASY AIR FRYER BRATS

Enjoy brats year-round by making them in the air fryer. These air fryer brats are juicy, delicious, and so easy to make! One of the best ways to cook brats without a grill.

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon cooking oil (avocado oil, canola oil, vegetable oil, or olive oil)
  • 5 brats (19 ounce package)

Instructions

Air Fryer Instructions:

    • Remove the air fryer basket from the air fryer and brush or spray the tray with cooking oil. Return the air fryer basket to the air fryer.
    • Preheat the air fryer to 380 degrees Fahrenheit.
    • Once the air fryer is preheated, add the brats to the air fryer basket in a single layer.
    • Cook them for 15 minutes until they have reached an internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit. Flip them halfway through.
  • Once the brats are done, remove them from the air fryer and let them cool. Then enjoy! See my post above for easy side dish and toppings ideas.

How To Cook Air Fryer Frozen Brats:

  • Remove the air fryer basket from the air fryer and brush or spray the tray with cooking oil. Return the air fryer basket to the air fryer.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 360 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Once the air fryer is preheated, add the brats to the air fryer in a single layer.
  • Cook for 15 to 17 minutes until the brats reach an internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit. Flip them halfway through.
  • Once the brats are done, remove them from the air fryer and let cool. Then enjoy!

Notes

Storage And Reheating Instructions:

  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container for 3 to 4 days
  • Reheat in the air fryer at 365 degrees Fahrenheit for 2 to 3 minutes.

Pro Tips:

  • The USDA recommends that sausages that contain pork be cooked until it reaches an internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • The air fryer I used in the recipe was the Instant Vortex Plus 6 quart. Since all air fryers cook differently, you may have to adjust the cook time slightly.
