Enjoy Crispy and Healthy Air Fryer Potato Chips at Home with just 3 Ingredients

Air fryer potato chips have become an increasingly popular snack in recent years, thanks to their crispy texture and healthier cooking method. Traditional potato chips are typically deep-fried in oil, which can be high in calories and unhealthy fats. Air fryer potato chips, on the other hand, are made by cooking thinly sliced potatoes in an air fryer, which uses hot air to create a crispy exterior without the need for excess oil.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 medium yellow potatoes
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Cut potatoes into thin slices using a mandolin slicer or a sharp knife. Place potatoes into a bowl with cold water and soak them for at least 20 minutes.
  2. Drain potatoes of water using a colander. Thoroughly pat them dry using paper towels. The more moisture you remove, the crispier they will get.
  3. Season the potato chips with sea salt and olive oil. Place two layers of potatoes in the air fryer tray and cook for 20 minutes at 200°F.
  4. Toss the potato chips. Turn up the heat to 400°F and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
