This helps it cook more evenly!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Preheat the air fryer.<\/strong> You want the air fryer to be hot before you add in the meat so it starts cooking right away. If you don\u2019t preheat the air fryer, the outside of the meat could burn before the inside is fully cooked.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Remove the steak right away.<\/strong> Remove the steak from the basket as soon as it\u2019s done so it doesn\u2019t continue to cook from the residual heat.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Let it rest.<\/strong> Let the steak sit for 5-10 minutes before you slice into it so the moisture can redistribute. If you cut into it too soon, you\u2019ll end up with dry meat.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"wprm-spacer\"><\/div>\n<p><strong>Storage:<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"wprm-spacer\"><\/div>\n<p>Leftover cooked steak will last in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
