{"id":229,"date":"2023-05-19T21:51:40","date_gmt":"2023-05-19T21:51:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/airfryer-tips.us\/en\/?p=229"},"modified":"2023-05-21T18:07:21","modified_gmt":"2023-05-21T18:07:21","slug":"229-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/airfryer-tips.us\/en\/229-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Asparagus Fries"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>With less than 5 ingredients, NO oil, and done in less than 10 minutes, these Air Fryer Asparagus Fries will become a favorite side dish or snack!<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><em>16-20 spears asparagus<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>1 medium egg<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>1 teaspoon water<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>\u2153 cup regular breadcrumbs<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>\u00bc cup panko breadcrumbs<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>1 TBS everything but the bagel seasoning (or garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, poppy seeds- \u215b teaspoon each)<\/em><br \/>\n<em>oil spray<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Instructions:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li><em>Prepare the asparagus by cutting or snapping off the hard ends; about 1 inch up the stem and discard those pieces. Wash and dry the asparagus.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>In a shallow dish, add an egg and a bit of water, then whisk and beat until a little frothy. Add the asparagus and toss around to coat.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>In a separate shallow dish or bowl, add panko breadcrumbs, regular breadcrumbs, and spices.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Add the asparagus spears a few at a time, and toss around until coated. Place them into the air fryer tray. Repeat until all asparagus are coated.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Add fries to the air fryer basket, do not place them too close together. Lightly spray the tops with oil, and close.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Set air fryer for 400 degrees and 8 minutes. After 5 minutes, open and carefully flip fries over, then close and cook remaining 3 minutes.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Serve with your favorite dipping sauce!<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3><strong>Recipe Notes:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><em>Nutrition per serving (recipe makes 2 servings): 145 calories, 4 grams fat, 16 grams carbohydrates, 3 grams fiber, 8 grams protein.<\/em><\/p>\n<h5><strong>How to Bake Asparagus Fries:<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p><em>Use the same directions in terms of prepping and coating the asparagus spears. Set the oven to 350 degrees F. Place fries on a parchment lined baking sheet. Cook for 15 minutes, then flip over. Cook 5-7 more minutes or until crispy. To crisp coating further, turn oven to broil on HIGH and broil for 1-2 minutes or until browned.
