Cook them on the grill\/campfire or in the oven!<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\u25a21 \u00bd\u00a0pounds\u00a0steak\u00a0sirloin is my favorite cut here<\/li>\n<li>\u25a21\u00a0pound\u00a0baby potatoes\u00a0cut into \u00bd inch pieces (halving or quartering usually does it for me)<\/li>\n<li>\u25a21\u00a0onion\u00a0peeled, halved and then thinly sliced<\/li>\n<li>\u25a21\u00a0tablespoon\u00a0olive oil<\/li>\n<li>\u25a22\u00a0tablespoons\u00a0chopped fresh parsley<\/li>\n<li>\u25a21\u00a0tablespoon\u00a0minced garlic\u00a0or more to taste<\/li>\n<li>\u25a21\u00a0tablespoon\u00a0Italian seasoning<\/li>\n<li>\u25a2salt and pepper\u00a0to taste<\/li>\n<li>\u25a22\u00a0tablespoons\u00a0butter\u00a0cubed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Instructions:<\/h3>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Par-Boil The Potatoes (Highly Recommended):<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Place the sliced potatoes in a pot of boiling, salted water and cook for 5 minutes. Drain immediately and place in a large bowl. Allow to sit until cool enough to handle, about 10 minutes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Make The Foil Packets:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Prep the steak:<\/strong>\u00a0Cut the steak into pieces (2.5 \u2013 3 inches for well done, 3 \u2013 4 inches for medium, 5 inches for rarer steak). Marinate it if you like.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Combine ingredients:<\/strong>\u00a0Place the steak, potatoes, onion, olive oil, parsley, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper in a large bowl and toss well.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Assemble foil packets:<\/strong>\u00a0Set out 4 pieces of aluminum foil, at least 12\u00d712 inches. Evenly divide the steak and potatoes between the middles of the foil sheets. Top with butter cubes, then fold the foil over the steak and potatoes and seal well.<\/li>\n<li><strong>On the grill\/fire:<\/strong>\u00a0On a HOT grill, cook the foil packets for 8-10 minutes per side, or until the potatoes are tender (exact grilling time can vary depending on type of foil used, exact oven temperature, size of steak, etc.! I recommend an oven thermometer to check on the steak after about 10 minutes to gauge how much longer it will need!)If you\u2019re cooking the packets on a fire without a grilling rack, place them on a 2-inch bed of coal.<\/li>\n<li><strong>In the oven:<\/strong>\u00a0Bake the steak foil packets at 425\u00b0F for around 20 minutes, or until done to your liking (exact baking time can vary depending on type of foil used, exact oven temperature, size of steak, etc.! I recommend an oven thermometer to check on the steak after about 15 minutes to gauge how much longer it will need!).
