At the 6-minute mark, it will have a very runny yolk. Top the cooked poached egg with some fresh grated cheese and a sprinkle of Everything Bagel seasoning.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wprm-spacer\"><\/div>\n<p>Why hot water?\u00a0\u2013 Using hot water reduces cooking time and helps the egg whites hold together better than cold water.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wprm-spacer\"><\/div>\n<p>Use fresh eggs:\u00a0\u2013 Fresh eggs produce better results. Crack an egg in a bowl, and if you see the white holding together well, it\u2019s fresh. If you see some water on the side, it\u2019s not fresh.
