Air fryers can make these delightful snacks, but the oven will work just fine if you don\u2019t have one. The air fryer\u2019s hot air circulates your food, cooking it evenly and quickly. It also reduces the amount of oil needed for frying foods which is great because using an air fryer is healthier than deep-frying them in oil!<\/p>\n<p>Yummy! This is one of my son\u2019s favorite snacks, and you know what, it will cost you under $1.00. If you went to Whole Foods, the same batch would cost you over $5.00. So today\u2019s flavor is simple, but delicious, Air Fryer Sea Salt Chickpeas.<\/p>\n<p>This is such an easy and quick way tog et the slow-roasted flavor in a matter of minutes.<\/p>\n<p>I have a love affair with roasted chickpeas. They are so easy to make and can be seasoned in so many different ways! I use the air fryer method because it is quick, but you could also roast them on your stove top if you want more control over how crispy they get. The sky\u2019s the limit when it comes to flavors for this recipe; try curry powder or chili powder mixed with salt and pepper for an Indian-inspired dish, cumin and smoked paprika for Mexican flavor, or cinnamon sugar (with no added salt) as a sweet treat!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why Is Everyone So In Love with Chickpeas?<\/strong><br \/>\nChickpeas are a great choice for a snack because they have many health benefits, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Chickpeas are very high in fiber; as a result, they are an excellent snack for people with diabetes, or borderline diabetes, as the doctors show that high fiber reduces blood glucose levels.<\/li>\n<li>Chickpeas are great for bone health because they contain iron, phosphate, calcium, magnesium, zinc, and vitamin K. All of these vitamins and minerals, are all shown to improve bone strength and structure.<\/li>\n<li>Vitamin K also helps your body absorb calcium, which is great if you have osteoporosis.<\/li>\n<li>Chickpeas are low-sodium, which is great for keeping your blood pressure low.<\/li>\n<li>They show high fiber to help cholesterol<\/li>\n<li>Chickpeas contain the mineral selenium which helps reduce cancer risks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Tips on Getting The Best Roasted Crispy Chickpeas in the Air Fryer<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Dry the chickpeas:<\/strong>\u00a0I always do this in two steps, the first being to fully drain the chickpeas. Then I let them layout for about 20 to 30 minutes on a kitchen towel on the counter. I find that wholly dried chickpeas give you the best crunchy flavor.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Use Enough Olive Oil:<\/strong>\u00a0If you are not thoroughly coating your chickpeas, they will never get fully crispy.
