Ingredients
- Brussels sprouts. A 1-pound bag of Brussels sprouts will give you about 4 cups, which is what this recipe calls for.
- Oil. You only need about 1 tablespoon of oil. It is best to choose a good quality oil with a high smoke point, like avocado oil. Olive oil will work if that is what you have.
- Garlic. Fresh minced garlic adds a nice pop of flavor, though you can sub with ¼ teaspoon of garlic powder if needed.
- Salt and pepper. These staples add the perfect flavor to these veggies. Start with a modest amount as you can always increase if needed.
- Optional toppings. This dish really only needs a few simple ingredients! But you can enhance the flavor with some Asian Honey Sriracha, by drizzling on a homemade Balsamic vinegar reduction, or adding in some chopped bacon.
How to Make Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts

1. Prepare the Brussels Sprouts
If you purchased a bag of whole and raw Brussels sprouts you’ll first need to cut and prepare them before air frying.
Cut off the end of the Brussels sprouts.
Place the cut-side part of the sprout flat-side down on the cutting board. Slice the Brussels sprout in half.
Repeat this process with the remaining sprouts.
2. Toss to Coat
Once you have the Brussels sprouts cut in half you’ll want to mix it together with the oil and seasoning ingredients.
Whisk together oil, garlic, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
Add the Brussels sprouts and stir until they are well coated in the sauce.
3. Cook in Air Fryer
The air fryer is very much like an oven in that it needs a little bit of time to warm up. At a minimum, you always want to heat your air fryer for at least 3 minutes before adding in your food for the best results.
Heat air fryer to 375°F.
Add Brussels sprouts to the air fryer heated to 375°F and cook for 10 minutes, tossing the basket halfway through cooking. The results should be a crispy outside and tender inside.
4. Finish with Sauce
This Asian Honey Sriracha sauce takes this air fryer recipe to a whole new level!
Whisk together soy sauce, honey, and Sriracha in a small bowl.
Drizzle the sauce over all of the cooked sprouts and toss to combine.
Serve them immediately OR for extra crispy edges, return the cooked Brussels sprouts to the air fryer and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.

Prep-Ahead Instructions:
This recipe should be enjoyed immediately after air frying, but you can slice the Brussels sprouts the day before.
Storage Directions:
Seal leftovers in an airtight container and keep in the refrigerator for up to 3 to 5 days. To freeze, place in a freezer-safe airtight container and keep in the freezer for up to 8 months. These are best frozen without sauce or toppings. Pop Brussels sprouts back into the air fryer for a few minutes, or roast them in a 350℉ oven for 5 to 10 minutes to warm back up.
Recipe Tips:
- Slice ’em even. Be sure to cut the Brussels sprouts as evenly in half as possible so all of the pieces cook consistently.
- Get it hot. If you don’t preheat your air fryer, the vegetables might not get crispy.
- Toss it up. Halfway through cooking, shake the basket so the Brussels sprouts can cook on all sides.
- Double the batch. Brussels sprouts freeze well (without the sauce), so make extra to freeze for an easy side another night.
