EASY SAUSAGE AND SHRIMP KABOBS AIR FRYER

EASY SAUSAGE AND SHRIMP KABOBS AIR FRYER

Natalie July 12, 2024

This sausage and shrimp kabobs air fryer recipe is delicious and so easy to make in less than 15 minutes from start to finish.

These sausage and shrimp kabobs in air fryer are just as juicy and delicious as kabobs on the grill, only with none of the cleanup! Using the air fryer is also more energy-efficient than the oven, and it helps seal in the natural juices of the meat

Shrimp and sausage are a beautiful combination. Juicy frozen Argentina red shrimp pair with smoky sausage to create a perfect combination as an entree or as part of a buffet-style feast.

Making shrimp and sausage kabobs in the air fryer maximizes the meat’s natural flavors. Air fryers cook using hot air, which means that everything heats evenly, quickly, and retains moisture. No more dry kebabs here!

About Time

  • Prep Time 10  mins
  • Cook Time  8 mins
  • Total Time  18 mins

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces smoked sausage, cut into ½ inch slices
  • 12 ounces raw jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • Oil sprayer bottle with olive oil
  • 1 ½ Tablespoon BBQ seasoning
  • 6-8 bamboo skewers

Instructions

  1. Pat dry shrimp with paper towels. In a large bowl add the shrimp, sausage, spritz with oil a couple times, add the BBQ seasoning and toss to combine.
  2. Tuck the sausages slices in the curve of the shrimp and thread them on skewers.
  3. Place the sausage and shrimp skewers in the air fryer basket in a single layer and cook to 350ºF for 4 minutes on each side or until the shrimp are cooked through. Serve immediately. Enjoy!

NOTES

  • Use any kind of sausage that you have or like the most that are precooked; otherwise, you may have to cook the sausage first if using raw.
  • If using frozen shrimp, make sure they thaw before starting the recipe. You can thaw them in the refrigerator overnight or place them in the sink with cold water, changing the water every 30 minutes. This recipe works with raw shrimp, don’t use it with previously cooked shrimp.
  • For the BBQ seasoning, I used Trader Joe’s 101 BBQ seasoning. Feel free to use your favorite.
