These easy air fryer chicken breasts are perfect for busy nights! In 25 minutes or less, you’ll have perfect tender and juicy chicken.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless chicken breasts

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 1 teaspoon oregano

  • 1⁄2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)

  • 1⁄2 teaspoon black pepper (or to taste)

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 370 degrees Fahrenheit for a few minutes. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and place in a medium bowl.
  • Whisk together olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Rub chicken with seasoning mix.
  • Place the chicken breasts in the air fryer basket. Air fry at 370 degrees Fahrenheit for 9 minutes. Flip the chicken over and cook for 9 more minutes, or until its internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  • Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  • Serve it and enjoy!

Notes

  • For even cooking, don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket.
  • Switch the flavors with Italian seasoning, Greek seasoning blend, Cajun seasoning, or even lemon pepper.
  • Cooking time will depend on your air fryer model and the size of the chicken. Smaller breasts may cook in 8 minutes, while larger ones could take 20 minutes or more.
  • Keep a close eye on the chicken, especially as it nears the end of the cooking process, to avoid overcooking and drying it out.
  • Use an instant-read thermometer when checking for doneness. The chicken should have an internal temperature of 165°F.
  • Store leftover chicken breasts in an air-tight container and refrigerate for up to 4 days. Rewarm the chicken in the air fryer or an oven set at 350°F.
  • Freeze leftovers in a sealed, freezer-safe container for up to 3 months. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight before reheating.
