Lasagna is one of the most popular homemade dinners. It’s also one of the most time-consuming, not to mention messy, dishes to make.

COOK TIME: 40 minutes
TOTAL TIME: 55 minutes
Ingredients:
8 ounces ground Italian sausage
2 ounces marinara sauce
1 cup ricotta cheese
1 egg, lightly beaten
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
8 sheets of no-precook lasagna noodles
6 fresh basil leaves
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions:
In a medium skillet over medium heat, brown the Italian sausage by breaking it into pieces. Once the meat is no longer pink, drain any excess fat from the sausage, remove from heat, and stir in marinara sauce. Set aside.
Mix ricotta cheese, egg, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl. Set aside.
Spray an 8x8x2-inch casserole dish with cooking spray.
To assemble: Add 1/4 of the sauce to the bottom of the casserole dish. Add two lasagna sheets on top; you will need to break them to fit. Add 1/3 of the ricotta mixture on top, spread over the lasagna sheets. Tear two of the basil leaves and add on top. Add 1/4 of the mozzarella on top of the basil. Repeat two more times until you have a top layer of lasagna, followed by the remaining sauce. Add remaining mozzarella.
Preheat your air fryer to 360 degrees F , air fryer setting for 5 minutes.
Add lasagna noodles and air fry for 30 minutes, then cover dish with foil and continue air frying for another 20 minutes at 280 degrees F , air fryer setting.
Let rest for about 10 minutes before slicing. Top with more grated parmesan cheese and chopped fresh basil.
