AIR FRYER MEATLOAF

Air fryer meatloaf is a delicious and convenient way to prepare this classic dish. Here’s a simple recipe to make meatloaf in an air fryer:

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef (or a mix of ground beef and ground pork)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped celery
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and milk. Allow them to sit for a few minutes until the breadcrumbs have absorbed the milk.
  2. Add the ground beef, chopped onion, bell pepper, celery, beaten egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper to the bowl with the breadcrumbs.
  3. Mix all the ingredients together until well combined. Be careful not to overmix, as it can result in a denser meatloaf.
  4. Shape the meat mixture into a loaf shape that fits comfortably in your air fryer basket. If needed, you can line the basket with aluminum foil for easier cleanup.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Once the air fryer is preheated, carefully place the meatloaf in the air fryer basket.
  7. Cook the meatloaf in the air fryer for about 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). Cooking times may vary depending on the size and thickness of your meatloaf.
  8. Once the meatloaf is cooked, remove it from the air fryer and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
  9. Serve the air fryer meatloaf with your favorite side dishes, such as mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables.
