Ingredients:

  • 4 medium-sized russet potatoes
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Optional toppings: sour cream, shredded cheese, chives, bacon bits

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer:
    • Set your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) to preheat.
  2. Clean and Dry Potatoes:
    • Scrub the potatoes under running water to remove any dirt.
    • Pat them dry with a paper towel.
  3. Poke Potatoes:
    • Use a fork to poke several holes in each potato. This allows steam to escape during cooking.
  4. Coat with Olive Oil:
    • Lightly coat each potato with olive oil. This helps the skin crisp up in the air fryer.
  5. Season with Salt:
    • Sprinkle salt over the oiled potatoes. Adjust the amount to your taste preferences.
  6. Place in the Air Fryer:
    • Arrange the potatoes in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them for proper air circulation.
  7. Air Fry:
    • Cook the potatoes at 400°F (200°C) for 35-45 minutes, depending on the size of your potatoes. Flip them halfway through the cooking time to ensure even cooking.
  8. Check for Doneness:
    • Test the doneness by inserting a fork into the center of a potato. If it goes in easily, they are ready.
