AIR FRYER TERIYAKI SALMON

Sure! Here’s a recipe for Air Fryer Teriyaki Salmon:

Ingredients:

  • 2 salmon fillets
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon mirin (Japanese sweet rice wine)
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, mirin, grated ginger, and minced garlic. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it comes to a simmer.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the cornstarch and water together to create a slurry. Add the slurry to the simmering teriyaki sauce and stir until it thickens. Remove from heat and set aside.
  4. Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel and season them with salt and pepper.
  5. Place the salmon fillets in the preheated air fryer basket, skin side down. Cook for 6-8 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets.
  6. Carefully remove the air fryer basket and brush the salmon fillets generously with the prepared teriyaki sauce. Reserve some sauce for drizzling later.
  7. Return the air fryer basket with the salmon to the air fryer and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  8. Remove the salmon from the air fryer and let it rest for a minute. Drizzle some of the reserved teriyaki sauce over the salmon.
  9. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
