Air Fryer Poached Eggs

Preparation Time:

  • Prep Time: 3 minutes
  • Cook Time: 5 minutes
  • Total Time: 8 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 large eggs
  • Oil spray (such as Ghee Butter)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 tablespoons hot water
  • Toast (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (177°C) for 3 minutes using the air fry/air crisp setting.
  2. When the air fryer is ready, spritz some oil into each ramekin and rub the oil around the edges using your finger or a food brush.
  3. Pour 3-4 tablespoons of hot water into each ramekin.
  4. Gently crack one egg into each ramekin.
  5. Place the ramekins directly into the air fryer basket or tray.
  6. Cook the eggs for 5-7 minutes, depending on your preferred doneness of the yolk. Refer to the poached eggs cooking chart below for guidance.
  7. Once cooked, carefully remove the ramekins from the air fryer.
  8. Using a rubber spatula, gently pry the eggs out of the ramekins. If the eggs are stuck, you can run a knife around the edge of the ramekins to loosen them.
  9. Transfer the poached eggs to a plate or serve them on prepared toast.
  10. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and enjoy!

Cooking Chart for Poached Eggs:

  • Soft Poached: 4-5 minutes
  • Medium Poached: 6-7 minutes
  • Hard Poached: 8-9 minutes

Note:

  • Adjust the cooking time according to your air fryer model and the desired doneness of the eggs.
  • Serve the poached eggs as a nutritious and delicious breakfast or brunch option. They pair well with toast, avocado, or smoked salmon for a complete meal. Enjoy the convenience of cooking poached eggs without the need to babysit the stove!
