I love that even though it’s that simple (5 ingredients! 10 minutes!), it’s still a fantastic way to showcase one of the best vegetables of the season. Who says recipes have to be complicated in order to be delicious?
When it comes out of the air fryer, the asparagus is tender and juicy, with perfectly crispy tips. I can never resist sneaking a few spears straight out of the air fryer basket, the frizzled tops crackling between my teeth.

Ingredients
- 1 bunch asparagus, woody ends trimmed
- Extra-virgin olive oil, for drizzling
- Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
- Lemon wedges, for squeezing
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 370°F.
- In a large bowl, drizzle the asparagus with olive oil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and toss to coat.
- Place the asparagus spears in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Don’t overcrowd the basket. Work in batches if necessary. Roast asparagus in the air fryer for 6 to 8 minutes, flipping halfway, until the spears are tender and the tops are crisp. The exact timing will depend on your air fryer.
- Transfer to a platter, squeeze with lemon juice, season to taste, and serve.
