Air fryer bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers

Air fryer bacon-wrapped jalapeno poppers are a delicious and easy appetizer to make. Here’s a simple recipe to guide you through the process:

Ingredients:

  • 8 jalapeno peppers
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 8 slices of bacon, cut in half
  • Toothpicks

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cut each jalapeno pepper in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes. If you prefer milder poppers, you can also remove the white pith inside the pepper.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, and onion powder until well combined.
  4. Spoon the cream cheese mixture into each jalapeno half, filling them evenly.
  5. Take a halved slice of bacon and wrap it around each jalapeno half, securing it with a toothpick to hold it in place. Repeat this step for all the poppers.
  6. Place the bacon-wrapped jalapeno poppers in the preheated air fryer basket in a single layer, without overcrowding them.
  7. Cook the poppers in the air fryer for about 10-12 minutes or until the bacon becomes crispy and the jalapenos are cooked to your desired level of tenderness. You can flip them halfway through cooking to ensure even browning.
  8. Once cooked, carefully remove the jalapeno poppers from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes before serving. Be cautious when handling them, as they will be hot.
  9. Serve the air fryer bacon-wrapped jalapeno poppers as an appetizer or snack. They go great with a dipping sauce like ranch dressing or sour cream.
