Ingredients:
- Potatoes (russet or your preferred variety)
- Olive oil
- Salt
- Optional toppings: sour cream, chives, cheese, bacon bits, etc.
Instructions:
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare the Potatoes: Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly to remove any dirt. Pat them dry with a paper towel.
- Poke Holes: Use a fork to poke several holes in each potato. This allows steam to escape and prevents the potatoes from bursting during cooking.
- Coat with Olive Oil and Salt: Rub each potato with a thin layer of olive oil. Sprinkle salt evenly over the potatoes to season them.
- Air Fry: Place the prepared potatoes in the air fryer basket, making sure there’s space between them for even cooking. Cook for about 35-45 minutes, flipping the potatoes halfway through the cooking time. Cooking times may vary depending on the size of your potatoes and the specific model of your air fryer.
- Check for Doneness: Pierce the potatoes with a fork to check if they’re done. They should be fork-tender on the inside, and the skin should be crispy.
- Serve: Once the potatoes are done, let them cool for a few minutes before serving. Cut a slit in the top of each potato and fluff the insides with a fork.
- Add Toppings: Serve the air fryer baked potatoes with your favorite toppings, such as sour cream, chives, cheese, bacon bits, or any other toppings you enjoy.
