Air Fryer Boiled Eggs: How to Make Perfect Boiled Eggs Every Time

It seems there might be some confusion here. Air fryers are typically used for frying and cooking food using hot air circulation, but they are not designed for boiling or cooking eggs in water. Boiled eggs are traditionally prepared by boiling them in water on the stovetop.

If you’re interested in making perfect boiled eggs, here’s a simple stovetop method:

Ingredients:

  • Eggs (as many as you’d like)
  • Water

Instructions:

  1. Place the eggs in a single layer at the bottom of a saucepan or a pot. You can cook as many eggs as you’d like, but make sure not to stack them on top of each other.
  2. Add enough cold water to the pot to cover the eggs completely.
  3. Place the pot on the stovetop over medium-high heat and bring the water to a boil.
  4. Once the water reaches a rolling boil, reduce the heat to low or medium-low to maintain a gentle simmer. Boil the eggs for the desired doneness:
    • Soft-boiled eggs: 4-5 minutes
    • Medium-boiled eggs: 7-8 minutes
    • Hard-boiled eggs: 9-12 minutes
  5. While the eggs are boiling, prepare a bowl of ice water.
  6. Once the eggs have cooked for the desired time, use a slotted spoon to remove them from the pot and immediately transfer them to the ice water. Let them sit in the ice water for about 5 minutes to stop the cooking process.
  7. After cooling in the ice water, gently tap the eggs on a hard surface to crack the shell, then peel the shells off.

Now you have perfectly boiled eggs! You can enjoy them as they are, add them to salads, or use them to prepare various dishes.

If you’re interested in using an air fryer, there are other egg-related recipes you can try, such as air fryer omelets or egg bites. But for boiling eggs, stick to the stovetop method as air fryers are not suitable for this purpose.
