Ingredients:

  • 1 medium-sized butternut squash
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: additional seasonings like cinnamon, nutmeg, or paprika for added flavor

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Peel the butternut squash using a vegetable peeler. Cut off both ends and slice the squash in half lengthwise. Scoop out the seeds and discard them. Cut the squash into 1-inch cubes or slices, depending on your preference.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the butternut squash cubes, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Toss well to coat the squash evenly with the seasonings.
  4. If desired, add any additional seasonings you prefer, such as cinnamon, nutmeg, or paprika. These spices can enhance the flavor of the butternut squash.
  5. Place the seasoned butternut squash in the air fryer basket in a single layer. If necessary, cook the squash in batches to avoid overcrowding the basket.
  6. Cook the butternut squash in the air fryer for 15-20 minutes, or until it reaches your desired level of tenderness. Shake or toss the squash cubes halfway through the cooking time to ensure even browning.
