AIR FRYER CABBAGE AND ONIONS

Air fryer cabbage and onions can be a delicious and healthy side dish or addition to various recipes. Here’s a simple recipe to make air fryer cabbage and onions:

Ingredients:

  • 1 small head of cabbage
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or cooking spray
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional seasonings: garlic powder, paprika, or your preferred herbs and spices

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Remove the outer leaves of the cabbage and cut it into wedges or bite-sized pieces.
  3. Peel and slice the onion.
  4. In a bowl, toss the cabbage and onion with olive oil or spray them with cooking spray to ensure even coating.
  5. Season the vegetables with salt, pepper, and any optional seasonings you desire. Toss or gently mix to distribute the seasoning evenly.
  6. Place the seasoned cabbage and onions in the air fryer basket in a single layer. You may need to cook them in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
  7. Cook for about 12-15 minutes, shaking or stirring the vegetables halfway through the cooking time to ensure even browning.
  8. Check the cabbage and onions for desired doneness. If they need more time, continue cooking for an additional few minutes until they reach your preferred level of crispness and tenderness.
  9. Once cooked, remove the cabbage and onions from the air fryer and serve as a side dish or use them in your desired recipes.

You can enjoy air fryer cabbage and onions as a side dish, add them to salads, use them as a topping for tacos or sandwiches, or incorporate them into stir-fries and other dishes. Feel free to experiment with different seasonings and spices to customize the flavors to your liking.
