Air Fryer Chicken Thighs

Air fryer chicken thighs are a delicious and convenient way to enjoy crispy and juicy chicken without using a lot of oil. Here’s a simple recipe to make air fryer chicken thighs:

Ingredients:

  • 4 chicken thighs, bone-in and skin-on
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for some heat)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. In a small bowl, combine salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, and cayenne pepper (if using).
  3. Pat dry the chicken thighs using paper towels. Drizzle the olive oil over the chicken thighs and rub it all over to coat them evenly.
  4. Sprinkle the spice mixture over the chicken thighs, making sure to cover them evenly on both sides.
  5. Place the chicken thighs in the air fryer basket in a single layer, skin side down.
  6. Cook the chicken thighs at 400°F (200°C) for 10 minutes.
  7. After 10 minutes, flip the chicken thighs skin side up and continue cooking for another 10-15 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the skin is crispy and golden brown.
  8. Remove the chicken thighs from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.

Note: Cooking times may vary depending on the size of the chicken thighs and the specific model of your air fryer. It’s always a good idea to check the internal temperature of the chicken using a meat thermometer to ensure it’s fully cooked.

You can serve air fryer chicken thighs with your favorite side dishes like roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad. Enjoy your crispy and flavorful chicken thighs!
