Air Fryer Chicken Thighs (Bone-In) Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 4 bone-in chicken thighs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: additional seasonings of your choice

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. You can also add any other seasonings you like, such as cayenne pepper or Italian seasoning.
  4. Drizzle the chicken thighs with olive oil, then rub them with the spice mixture, ensuring that they are evenly coated.
  5. Place the chicken thighs in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You may need to cook them in batches, depending on the size of your air fryer.
  6. Cook the chicken thighs in the air fryer for 20-25 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C) to ensure they are fully cooked.
  7. Once cooked, remove the chicken thighs from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute and ensures tender and juicy meat.

Notes:

  • Cooking times may vary depending on the size and model of your air fryer. Adjust the cooking time accordingly, ensuring that the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) for safe consumption.
  • For crispier skin, you can spray the chicken thighs with cooking oil or use the air fryer’s “crisp” function during the last few minutes of cooking.
  • Feel free to customize the seasoning according to your taste preferences. You can add herbs like thyme or rosemary, or use different spice blends.
  • Serve the air fryer chicken thighs with your favorite sides, such as roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad.
