Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken tenders
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- Cooking spray
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3 tbsp honey
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Breading Stations
- In one shallow dish, combine flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- In a second dish, place the beaten eggs.
- In a third dish, place the panko breadcrumbs.
Step 2: Bread the Chicken Tenders
- Pat the chicken tenders dry with paper towels.
- Dredge each tender in the flour mixture, shaking off excess.
- Dip into the beaten eggs, allowing excess to drip off.
- Coat with panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
Step 3: Air Fry the Tenders
- Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (400°F) for 5 minutes.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
- Place the breaded tenders in a single layer in the basket, avoiding overcrowding.
- Lightly spray the tops of the tenders with cooking spray.
- Air fry for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.
Step 4: Prepare the Honey Butter Garlic Sauce
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine melted butter, honey, and minced garlic.
- Cook, stirring frequently, for 2–3 minutes until the garlic is fragrant.
Step 5: Toss and Serve
- Transfer the cooked chicken tenders to a large bowl.
- Pour the honey butter garlic sauce over the tenders and toss to coat evenly.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired.
