Air Fryer Honey Butter Garlic Chicken Tenders

Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, these Air Fryer Honey Butter Garlic Chicken Tenders are coated with a sweet and savory honey butter garlic sauce that’s sure to be a hit!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken tenders
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • Cooking spray
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Breading Stations
  1. In one shallow dish, combine flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  2. In a second dish, place the beaten eggs.
  3. In a third dish, place the panko breadcrumbs.
Step 2: Bread the Chicken Tenders
  1. Pat the chicken tenders dry with paper towels.
  2. Dredge each tender in the flour mixture, shaking off excess.
  3. Dip into the beaten eggs, allowing excess to drip off.
  4. Coat with panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
Step 3: Air Fry the Tenders
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (400°F) for 5 minutes.
  2. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  3. Place the breaded tenders in a single layer in the basket, avoiding overcrowding.
  4. Lightly spray the tops of the tenders with cooking spray.
  5. Air fry for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.
Step 4: Prepare the Honey Butter Garlic Sauce
  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine melted butter, honey, and minced garlic.
  2. Cook, stirring frequently, for 2–3 minutes until the garlic is fragrant.
Step 5: Toss and Serve
  1. Transfer the cooked chicken tenders to a large bowl.
  2. Pour the honey butter garlic sauce over the tenders and toss to coat evenly.
  3. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired.
  4. Serve immediately and enjoy!
