Ingredients
- 200g boneless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tbsp cornflour
- 1 tbsp plain flour
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp paprika
- 1 egg, beaten
- Cooking spray
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sriracha (adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp rice vinegar
- ½ tsp sesame oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
- 2 spring onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Step 1: Coat the Chicken
- In a bowl, mix cornflour, plain flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Dip chicken pieces into the beaten egg, then coat in the flour mixture.
Step 2: Air Fry the Chicken
- Preheat your air fryer to 200°C (390°F).
- Place the coated chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket and spray with cooking spray.
- Air fry for 12–15 minutes, shaking halfway through, until crispy and golden.
Step 3: Prepare the Sauce
- In a pan over medium heat, mix honey, soy sauce, sriracha, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and minced garlic.
- Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
Step 4: Toss & Serve
- Toss the crispy chicken in the sauce until well coated.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped spring onions.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
