You will love making naan bread pizza in the air fryer because it is easy, delicious, family-friendly and quick. This recipe allows you to customise the toppings as you like. Your naan pizza can pass as your regular pizza, the only difference between them is the shape.
Ingredients you need to make your personal pizza in an air fryer
Naan: use a regular, mini, gluten-free, keto-friendly, vegetarian naan. You can find plain mini nana at Asda. You can also substitute for regular pizza dough, pita bread, baguette or flour tortillas.
Pizza Sauce: you can also use pasta sauce or BBQ sauce.
Mozzarella Cheese: use any of your favourite grated cheese. I mixed shredded mozzarella and cheddar.
Toppings: add your favourite toppings.
How to Make Naan Bread Pizza in Air Fryer
Place the flatbread into an air fryer basket. Spread the pizza sauce on the naan. Followed by the grated mozzarella cheese, and then add your toppings.
Cook for 5 minutes at 180C/360F or until the cheese has completely melted.
Remove pizza bread from the air fryer basket, serve hot and enjoy!
How to Store and Reheat
Keep air-fried naan pizza in the fridge. Wrap slices with parchment paper or put them in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Reheat in the microwave for 2 to 5 minutes at 165C/330F.
Tips
- Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper to catch any crumbs or cheese drippings. This will help reduce the mess and make cleaning up easier afterwards.
- Do not stack the pizza in the air fryer basket, otherwise, it will not cook evenly and properly.
- Lift out pizza from basket style air fryer using a pancake spatula, it makes it easier to lift the pizza without ruining it.
- For a crispier crust, preheat the naan in the air fryer at 195CF/385F for 2 minutes.
- Start checking on the pizza for 3 minutes to judge how long you will continue to reheat it, particularly if warming a thick crust-styled pizza.
- I recommend using pre-cooked toppings such as chicken, mushroom, vegetables or turkey.
