Air Fryer Rolls

Air Fryer Rolls

Natalie April 19, 2024

Air fryer Rolls are a simple way to perfectly cook dinner rolls in the air fryer. Made with just a few ingredients, you will love having warm rolls on the table for dinner.

My family likes to have some type of bread at almost every meal. I can easily make biscuits or even a loaf of bread using this simple recipe. Because the air fryer makes them so quickly, there is no need to wait for the bread to bake in the traditional oven.

HOW LONG DO AIR FRYER DINNER ROLLS LAST?
Store and seal the rolls in an air-tight container in the refrigerator, or at room temperature. They should last for about 3-5 days. I like my rolls warm to melt butter, so I reheat them in the microwave for 15-30 seconds.

CAN I MAKE THESE INTO GARLIC ROLLS?
You can brush melted butter on top of the rolls and then sprinkle garlic on top. Air fry at 300 degrees F for another 1-2 minutes.

About Time

  • Prep Time  10 mins
  • Cook Time 10  mins
  • Total Time 20  mins

Ingredients

  • 2 ¼ teaspoons Active Dry Yeast One packet
  • ¼ cup warm water
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter softened
  • Egg Wash
  • 1 large egg whisked

Instructions

  1. Add yeast to a bowl with water that is warm. Let the yeast sit in the warm water for about 3 to 5 minutes.
  2. Once the yeast has activated, add in the flour, sugar, milk, butter, and salt. Gently fold the ingredients together until they were well combined and it becomes slightly flaky.
  3. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead the dough until it is smooth and shape it into a ball.
  4. Place dough into a medium bowl with one tablespoon of olive or vegetable oil. Coat the ball of dough with the oil, and then wrap the bowl with plastic wrap or a clean kitchen towel, then place it in a warm place until the dough rises to about double the size.
  5. Once the dough has doubled, punch down to release air. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces and roll it into balls. Place the rolls into a pan or directly into the basket individually, after spraying the basket with cooking spray.
  6. Coat the tops of the rolls with an egg wash. Air Fry at 320 degrees Fahrenheit for 8 to 10 minutes until the tops of the rolls are golden brown.

Prepare the Naan Bread: Place the naan bread on a flat surface. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the naan bread, leaving a small border around the edges. Add Cheese: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese evenly over the sauce. Add Meat Toppings: Arrange the pepperoni, salami, crumbled sausage, and bacon pieces evenly on top of the cheese. If using ground beef, sprinkle it over the top as well. Season: Sprinkle the Italian seasoning and crushed red pepper flakes over the top. Cook in the Air-Fryer: Carefully place the assembled naan pizza in the preheated air-fryer basket. Cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges of the naan are crispy. Garnish and Serve: Remove the pizza from the air-fryer. If desired, garnish with fresh basil or parsley. Slice and serve immediately. Notes Naan Bread: Choose a naan bread that fits well in your air-fryer basket. You may need to cut it to size if it’s too large. Sauce Options: Use any pizza or marinara sauce you prefer. For a different flavor, you can also use BBQ sauce or Alfredo sauce. Cheese: Feel free to mix and match different types of cheese according to your preference. Provolone, gouda, or parmesan can add extra flavor. Meat Toppings: Customize the meat toppings based on what you have available. Other great additions include ham, Canadian bacon, or chorizo. Vegetarian Option: For a vegetarian version, replace the meat with veggies like bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, and olives. Crispiness: If you prefer a crispier crust, pre-bake the naan bread in the air-fryer for 2-3 minutes before adding the toppings. Storage and Reheating: Leftover pizza can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air-fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 2-3 minutes. Enjoy your delicious and easy-to-make air-fryer meat lovers naan bread pizza!
