Air fryer salmon is a delicious and healthy way to cook salmon with minimal oil. Here’s a recipe and some notes to keep in mind:

Ingredients:

  • Salmon fillets
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • Lemon wedges (optional)
  • Fresh herbs (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for a few minutes.
  2. Pat dry the salmon fillets with a paper towel to remove any excess moisture.
  3. Lightly brush both sides of the salmon fillets with olive oil. This helps to prevent sticking and adds flavor.
  4. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper to taste. You can also add other herbs or spices of your choice.
  5. Place the salmon fillets in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not overcrowded.
  6. Cook the salmon in the air fryer for about 8-10 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C) for a fully cooked salmon.
  7. If desired, squeeze some fresh lemon juice over the cooked salmon fillets before serving.
  8. Garnish with fresh herbs, such as dill or parsley, for added freshness and flavor.

  1. Preheating the air fryer helps to ensure even cooking and crispness. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for your specific air fryer model.
  2. Adjust the cooking time based on the thickness of your salmon fillets. Thicker fillets may require a few more minutes, while thinner fillets may cook faster.
  3. It’s important not to overcrowd the air fryer basket to allow proper air circulation. If you have a large batch of salmon, cook them in multiple batches.
  4. Feel free to experiment with different seasonings and spices to customize the flavor to your liking.
  5. Salmon is cooked when it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C), as recommended by the FDA. You can use a meat thermometer to check the temperature.
  6. Serve the air fryer salmon with your favorite sides, such as roasted vegetables, steamed rice, or a fresh salad.
