Air Fryer Stuffed Cabbage Rolls

Natalie March 6, 2024

This delightful recipe for air fryer stuffed cabbage rolls offers a modern twist on a classic dish, making it easy and efficient without compromising on flavor. The process begins with a quick blanching of large cabbage leaves, ensuring they are pliable for wrapping the savory filling. The filling itself is a mouthwatering combination of lean ground beef, cooked rice, diced onions, an egg for binding, and a medley of spices, including sweet paprika, black pepper, and salt. The addition of milk enhances the mixture’s moisture and texture, resulting in a flavorful concoction that promises to satisfy.

Assembling the cabbage rolls is a straightforward process—simply spoon a generous portion of the beef and rice mixture onto each blanched cabbage leaf, roll them up, and arrange them in a greased oven-safe dish. The sauce, a tantalizing blend of tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, sugar, apple cider vinegar, water, and cornstarch, adds a rich and tangy dimension to the dish. The air fryer takes center stage for the cooking process, set at 330 degrees F for 20 to 30 minutes until the beef is perfectly cooked. The result is a batch of crispy, golden-brown stuffed cabbage rolls that boast a harmonious blend of flavors and textures.

This recipe not only simplifies the traditional method of making cabbage rolls but also elevates it to a new level of convenience with the use of an air fryer. The nutritional breakdown reveals a well-balanced meal, with a hearty dose of protein from the lean ground beef and a healthy serving of vegetables from the cabbage leaves. Whether you’re a cabbage roll enthusiast or a newcomer to this classic comfort food, this air fryer adaptation promises a delicious and hassle-free dining experience. Serve these delectable rolls with a garnish of fresh herbs and additional tomato sauce for a visually appealing and utterly satisfying meal.
