Ingredients
- 1 pound chicken breast, boneless, skinless
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 6 slices bacon, cut into rectangles
BBQ Sauce:
- 1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 cup BBQ Sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
Instructions
- Wash and pat dry the chicken breast with kitchen paper. Cut into 1 ½ inch cubes and season with a bit of salt.
- Cut the skewers the length depending on the size of the air fryer basket. Place chicken and bacon into the skewers and place on a large plate.
- In a medium bowl, combine oil, BBQ sauce, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, and thyme.
- Brush the skewers with the BBQ marinade on all sides and set aside for 15 minutes.
- Preheat the air fryer to 350 F | 175 C and grease the basket.
- Place skewers in the air fryer per batch. Save the marinade. Air fry for 6 minutes, then flip and brush the other side with a bit of marinade sauce and air fry for another 6 minutes.
- Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
