These Crispy Air Fryer Chicken Wings are breaded with spices, cooked and then double cooked in a sweet chili sauce. Seasoned and sauced to perfection, and so quick to make.
Ingredients
10 chicken wings
1/4 cup All purpose flour
1/4 tsp White pepper
1/2 tsp Garlic powder
1/2 tsp Onion powder
1 tsp salt
3 tbsp honey
3 tbsp light brown sugar
3 tbsp sweet chilli sauce
3 tbsp soy sauce
Optional garnish: 1 chopped spring onion
Optional garnish: 1 Tsp of sesame seeds
Instructions
Wash the chicken wings and cut off any stray feathers
Pat dry the chicken wings dry with tissue paper
Add all purpose flour, white pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and salt to a mixing bowl
Place each chicken wing (one by one) into the mixing bowl, making sure that every area is coated with the flour mixture
Dust off any excess flour into the mixing bowl and place each chicken wing into an Air fryer tray with perforated parchment paper
Cook the chicken wings for 18 minutes on 400 F, turning the chicken wings over at 9 minutes.
Whilst the chicken wings are air frying, make the sauce. Put into a pan honey, light brown sugar, sweet chilli sauce and soy sauce
Cook for 1-2 minutes on medium heat stirring continuously
Take the sauce off the heat after 1-2 minutes. By then, it would have thickened
Take the cooked chicken wings out of the Air fryer and transfer them to the saucepan. Get a wooden spoon to toss the chicken in the pan and coat them evenly with the sauce
Put the chicken wings back into the Air fryer and fry for 5 more minutes
Take out after 5 minutes and place on a serving dish.
Top with optional garnishes and enjoy!
