Enjoy brats year-round by making them in the air fryer. These air fryer brats are juicy, delicious, and so easy to make! One of the best ways to cook brats without a grill.
WHY YOU WILL LOVE THIS RECIPE:
- Cooking brats in the air fryer is an easy and quick way to cook delicious brats without making a mess on the stove or needing a grill. You can have dinner ready in just 15 minutes! We enjoy brats all year long at my house and I’ve taken a liking to cooking them in air fryer because it’s easier and tastier than cooking them on the stove top.
INGREDIENTS:
- Brats – I used Johnsonville Beer Brats. These are raw brats that come with 5 bratwursts per pack.
- Cooking oil or spray – This will be used to brush or spray a little oil on the air fryer tray. I recommend using avocado oil, canola oil, vegetable oil, or olive oil.
AIR FRYER INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Remove the air fryer basket from the air fryer and brush or spray the tray with cooking oil. Return the air fryer basket to the air fryer.
2. Preheat the air fryer to 380 degrees Fahrenheit.
3. Once the air fryer is preheated, add the brats to the air fryer basket in a single layer
4. Cook them for 15 minutes until they have reached an internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit. Flip them halfway through.
5. Once the brats are done, remove them from the air fryer and let them cool. Then enjoy!

Pro Tips:
- The USDA recommends that sausages that contain pork be cooked until it reaches an internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit.
- The air fryer I used in the recipe was the Instant Vortex Plus 6 quart. Since all air fryers cook differently, you may have to adjust the cook time slightly.
