Ingredients
-
2 boneless chicken breasts
-
1 tablespoon olive oil
-
1 teaspoon garlic powder
-
1 teaspoon onion powder
-
1 teaspoon paprika
-
1 teaspoon oregano
-
1⁄2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
-
1⁄2 teaspoon black pepper (or to taste)
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 370 degrees Fahrenheit for a few minutes. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and place in a medium bowl.
- Whisk together olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Rub chicken with seasoning mix.
- Place the chicken breasts in the air fryer basket. Air fry at 370 degrees Fahrenheit for 9 minutes. Flip the chicken over and cook for 9 more minutes, or until its internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
- Serve it and enjoy!
Notes
- For even cooking, don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket.
- Switch the flavors with Italian seasoning, Greek seasoning blend, Cajun seasoning, or even lemon pepper.
- Cooking time will depend on your air fryer model and the size of the chicken. Smaller breasts may cook in 8 minutes, while larger ones could take 20 minutes or more.
- Keep a close eye on the chicken, especially as it nears the end of the cooking process, to avoid overcooking and drying it out.
- Use an instant-read thermometer when checking for doneness. The chicken should have an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Store leftover chicken breasts in an air-tight container and refrigerate for up to 4 days. Rewarm the chicken in the air fryer or an oven set at 350°F.
- Freeze leftovers in a sealed, freezer-safe container for up to 3 months. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight before reheating.
