Ingredients
- Soaked chickpeas : 1 kg
- Parsley: package (fresh)
- Garlic: 4 kernels (finely chopped)
- Cumin: a tablespoon (ground)
- Salt : a tablespoon
- Coriander: a tablespoon (ground)
- Sodium bicarbonate : a tablespoon
- Vegetable oil: as needed (for frying)
Method of preparation
- Put both chickpeas and parsley in a blender and mix until you get a smooth dough.
- Put the ground chickpeas in a bowl, add coriander, salt, cumin, garlic and sodium bicarbonate.
- Mix the mixture until you get a homogeneous mixture.
- Dissolve a teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) in a teaspoon of cold water with a teaspoon of baking powder and a pinch of dry coriander.
- Add them to the falafel dough and then shape them into round discs.
- Brush the pan with a little oil with a brush and you can wipe the falafel with a little oil also with a brush.
- Fry with an air fryer at a temperature of 200 % for 5 minutes.
