Easy Air Fryer Salmon (Tender and Flaky)
Ingredients:
- 4 salmon fillets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions:
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Brush the salmon fillets with olive oil on all sides.
- Sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over the salmon fillets, pressing it gently to adhere.
- Place the seasoned salmon fillets in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them for proper air circulation.
- Cook the salmon in the preheated air fryer for about 8-12 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets. The salmon should easily flake with a fork and have an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) when measured at the thickest part.
- Once cooked, remove the salmon fillets from the air fryer and serve with lemon wedges.
Notes:
- Salmon Thickness: Adjust the cooking time based on the thickness of your salmon fillets. Thicker fillets may require slightly longer cooking times, while thinner fillets might be ready a bit sooner.
- Doneness: Salmon is safe to eat when its internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C). Use a kitchen thermometer to check the temperature at the thickest part of the fillet.
- Crispiness: If you prefer a crispier exterior on your salmon, you can lightly spray the fillets with cooking spray before air frying.
- Customization: Feel free to adjust the spice mixture according to your taste preferences. You can also add other seasonings like dried herbs or chili powder.
