Sausage and Potatoes Air Fryer Recipe

Smoky, tasty, and satisfying sausage and potatoes air fryer are easy to throw together at breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Seasoned with garlic, paprika, and Italian seasoning and with added bell pepper for color and crunch, this dish has it all.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound baby potatoes, cut in half
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 package smoked sausage
  • Fresh parsley to garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the potatoes, onion, bell pepper, olive oil, Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a large bowl or zip lock bag. Seal up the bag if using and toss to combine until the potatoes and vegetables are well coated in seasoning.
  2. Pour the potatoes and vegetables into the air fryer basket. Cook to 370ºF for 18 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  3. Meanwhile, cut the sausage into 1/2-inch slices. When the air fryer stops cooking the potatoes , toss the sausage slices and keep cooking to 370ºF for 5-10 minutes or until the potatoes are fork tender.
  4. Garnish  with fresh parsley, serve and enjoy!

Notes

 

  • Add more veg! It’s easy to add extra veggies to this smoked sausage and potatoes recipe to pack an extra nutritional punch! Try throwing in some broccoli, portobello mushrooms, or any crunchy veg you have on hand.
  • Don’t add the potatoes and sausage at the same time because the sausage could end up dry.
  • Add A few more minutes to the potatoes if you want them creepiest.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days in the fridge or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
  • Reheat in the air fryer to 400ºF for 10 minutes. If you don’t have enough veggies left, you can cook some first before reheating the potato and sausage.
